Unit 1, Part 2 Assignment, Exploring and Evaluating the Web
1. Research Log Entry
1. I tried to ask " what are the most majored subject in California State University, Eastbay."
2. The terms I used was "Most majored subject in Cal State University, Easatbay."
3. The web search engine I used was Google.
4. a) The search terms I used was same as number 2.
b) Search techniques I tried was changing some of the first couple words.
5. Evaluation
a) I evaluated my results by clicking on the links and finding out what subjects are most majored at Cal State University, Eastbay.
b) I used Google.com and Yahoo.com as my search engines.
i. The information from both search engines were similar.
ii. The only differences were the order of the search links and the wordings.
iii. Google.com gave me a little more results.
c) I think the search engines behaved as they did because both are from different companies. Different companies plus different thinking equals different search links.
6. No other questions really came to mind while doing this exercise. Sorry.

1.a) Delicious is a search engine in which you can save your bookmarks or view other peoples books marks. You may also subscribe other peoples bookmarks as well.
b) The advantage of this Web 2.0 tool is that it keeps track and saves your bookmarks, especially when you're using more than one computer. Delicious makes it easier for the user to access their bookmarks.
c) Perhaps I may use it in the future because I don't really need Web 2.0 at the moment.

II. Research Log Activity and Entry

- When I entered my terms, I received several results, but none different when using OR.
Evaluation
- What materials did scientists use to make Solar Energy Systems.
- I concluded that the site gave me a good insight about the Solar Energy Systems.
Questions that came to mind while conducting my research were how are solar energy systems made? What makes solar energy systems durable? How can solar energy systems withstand heat and rain storms?
