ReplyDeleteYour "next broad topic" is "what is biology?" Your broadest topic, however, isn't broader than biology. It's a question about biology, which is a different topic. Biology is one of the sciences, so a broader topic would be one example of a broader topic than biology.
As we go from "what is biology?" to biology major, that's not really the same topic either. What is biology asks a question about how to define the subject. Biology major is a topic that is oriented to education in the discipline, not about the scientific content of biology.
Once you get into biology major, you then ask who needs to take biology, again a different topic. Biology major is a topic that stresses such things as the subject matter you will study, the classes you might take, etc. Who needs to take it is about a career choice. Your final topic about what classes to take is smaller than biology major.
So you really don't have a topic string here.
